Phimosis refers to a condition where the male foreskin cannot be fully retracted from the head of the penis. It is common in male newborns where the foreskin and the glans are joined together. After age of 5, most male kids can have their foreskins retracted to expose the glans. Phimosis can also happen in adults due to infections.
